RE/defining Finnish Art & Design
Introducing Finnish designers in Central Europe together with the Spazio Nobile Gallery.
The overall year-long project, named ‘Finnish Season’, is curated by the founder of the Spazio Nobile gallery, Lise Coirier, and the director of the Finnish Cultural Institute for the Benelux, Kati Laakso.
Together with the Institute, the Brussels-based Spazio Nobile gallery is participating in several prominent design fairs as well as organise a number of exhibitions, all the while striving to redefine the wide range of skills and expertise in design and art that can be found in Finland.

Inka Bell, Johanna Gullichsen, Antrei Hartikainen, Mari Isopahkala, Renata Jakowleff, Harri Koskinen, Tero Kuitunen, Veera Kulju, Laura Laine, Päivi Rintaniemi, Kristina Riska, Sami Ruotsalainen, Perttu Saksa, Kustaa Saksi, Teemu Salonen, Caroline Slotte, Heikki Viinikainen ja Man Yau.
During the Brussels Gallery Weekend (5.–8.9.2019), the Spazio Nobile gallery will host a private exhibition by designer Laura Laine, which will feature a series of Laine’s new glass sculptures. At the end of September, a group exhibition of 18 Finnish craft artists will be opened in the same gallery on the 19th of September and will be on display until the end of 2019.
The project is a part of the Finnish Cultural Institute for the Benelux’s theme for 2019, which is RE/definitions.
