192nd meeting of the Bureau of the European Committee of the Regions
Finland's Minister for Economic Affairs Katri Kulmuni will present the priorities of Finland's presidency to the members of the Bureau of the European Committee of the Regions on Friday 13 September. During the second part of the meeting, the discussions will focus on developing skills for the future and on the impact of artificial intelligence on learning and education.
The European Committee of the Regions (CoR) brings forward the views of cities and regions in EU decision-making by drafting opinions. The CoR aims to promote the principle of subsidiarity and strengthen regional cohesion in EU member states. The secretariat for Finland’s national delegation to the CoR is based at the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities.
The Meeting of the Committee of the Regions (CoR) Bureau is traditionally held in the country holding the Presidency of the Council of the EU. During Finland’s Presidency, the meeting will be organised in Turku on 13 September 2019. The main organisers are the CoR Secretariat-General and the City of Turku.
