The Role of Power, Politics and Participation in Eradicating Poverty in Europe

The European Union and its member states have signed up to ambitious frameworks such as the European Pillar of Social Rights and the Sustainable Development Goals. Yet there are more than 100 million people living at risk of poverty or social exclusion in the EU.

This seminar will provide a space for reflection on how the wider anti-poverty movement could best use its power to ensure that the new European institutions will recognise the need to reprogramme systems and act accordingly with the clear aim of eradicating poverty. The seminar is part of the European Anti-Poverty Network’s General Assembly.
