Families and Carers at the Heart of Europe – Their Role in the Economy of Wellbeing
The EUFAMI Family Congress ‘Families and Carers at the Heart of Europe – Their Role in the Economy of Wellbeing’ highlights the importance of a good work-life balance in promoting mental health and favourable working life conditions for families and informal care.
The event will provide preliminary findings from the Economic Case survey carried out by EUFAMI and London School of Economics and Political Science. The survey aims to make visible and identify the challenges, contributions and significance of unpaid (informal) care provided by family members and other unpaid carers in European countries. The results of the survey will be used to inform national and local policy-making of the contribution of informal carers and provide input to the European debate on health and social and economic issues, especially in the context of ageing and the economy of wellbeing.
